Tagaytay City is the Philippines’ second summer capital, next to Baguio. The accessing highway offers a breathtaking sight of the world famous Taal formation, a crater within an island within a lake. Coconut groves dot the ridges of Tagaytay and classy accommodations give the visiting tourist the pleasures of relaxation and at the same time, wide opportunities to enjoy the magnificient view of Taal.
Palace In The Sky.
Originally designed to be the presidential guest house of former president Ferdinand Marcos, this complex was not completed. It is, however, now open to the public as a vantage area for viewing a 360 degree profile of Taal Volcano. It is within the Tagaytay environs.

The Flower Farm.
On a windy slope of a hill in Tagaytay City sprawls a flower farm that keeps Manila abloom whole year round. The five-hectare flower farm has many varieties of flowers such as chrysanthemums with assorted colors, gerberas, carnations, roses, and anthuriums.

How to get there: From Tagaytay City, the farm is a brief 10-minute drive from the Aguinaldo Highway.
Volcano Trekking.
It can be adventure-filled for neo-visitors to Cavite. Take a boat ride around Volcano Island, or visit the small farming communities within the destination. Or dare a mountain climb to the rim of the active volcano during its sleeping lull.
Outdoor Sports.
Engage in outdoor sports like golf and horseback riding at Tagaytay City and pony rides for the kids. For quieter afternoons and evenings, watch cultural shows at local folk theaters during town fiestas and civic observances.
Souvenir.
Shop for souvenirs, in particular shellcraft all over the seaside municipalities, or for fine bridal wear at the town of Taal which specializes in the weaving of hand- crafted barong (native organza). Try basket wares as extra shopping items.
Food Tripping.
Relish local fruits in season at the picnic grove of Sungay and the mushroom restaurants of Tagaytay, or partake of native cuisine at various establishments around the province.

How To Get To Sonya’s Garden:
Take the South Super Highway. Then, use either the Carmona (recommended) or Sta. Rosa (heavy traffic) exit. Proceed to Tagaytay. Then continue on to Batangas. About 5 minutes from the “Thank You for visiting Tagaytay” sign, you’ll see a subdivision on your right (Buck). Enter that subdivision (dirt road) then after about 5 minutes you’ll see the sign “Sonya’s” on your left. Turn left, park, enjoy your meal. Remember to make reservations.

Directions: From Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road, turn left to road going to Palace in the Sky. The convent is at Km 59, Barangay Sungay at the right side of the road.
The famous Good Shepherd in Baguio City in the north has a convent here and they also make the sweets and confectionaires that Good Shepherd nuns here in the Philippines are known for but minus the strawberry jams since there are no strawberries in Tagaytay City – since the elevation of 1700 feet is not ideal for strawberry growing. (Strawberries grow at 4,000 feet and above). What you get here are some the Good Shepherd staples, like all time popular ube jam, peanut brittle, guava and mango jams, cashew brittle, cashew nuts, peanuts, guyabano and sampaloc candies, pickles and pickle relishes, ube-macapuno jam, some rice cakes and a lot more!! A small plastic pack of goodies costs about 50 pesos and a small jar of ube jam at about 60 pesos. A small bottle of buko-pandan jam costs 90 pesos, plus there’s a whole lot more.

Affordable and basic, the Zipline and Cable Car are actually inside the Picnic Grove compound. The zipline is known to be a fun experience (kids will love it too!).

Something different! Hellenic Bar and Restaurant has U.S. style karaoke and dancing on Saturday nights. Aside from videoke, Hellenic uses CDGs – U.S. made karaoke discs that are better than videoke formatted discs since the music sound like the original. Graphics/lyrics also come out on screen minus the lame videos. Selection of 50, 000 Karaoke songs composed of R&B, 80s, Old School, Rap, Alternative, and Etc. New style of doing shows since you are the “Star” and will have to sing on stage. 15-minute dance sets every hour to get non-singers entertained. Unique show and a great place to sing and dance with your friends.
